In an article by Rachel Abrams and Matthew Goldstein, it's been discovered that in November of 2017, "Weinstein hired one of Manhattan top criminal defense lawyers amid rape allegations Benjamin Brafman." Sometime earlier a lawyer Alex Spiro wanted to contact the women suing Weinstein. Apparently 3 women has been in contact with the lawyer and spoke with the lawyer to tell their story. Although upon meeting the lawyer, the women felt as though lawyer was trying to extract information about their experiences with the producer for the firm’s case, rather than seeking to represent them. It's uncertain if the lawyer is actually trying to do something for these women and as tensions in Hollywood with the increased revealed that top celebrities are sexually assaulting females, everything pertaining to this case is starting to seem questionable. It seems as though one of the women says that she wanted to know whether Mr. Spiro planned to feed information about potential claims to Mr. Brafman and Mr. Weinstein. Now the story is starting to seem really shady. How do we know for sure that the lawyers will be fighting for the justice of these women? Or will they be trying to turn over information for Mr. Weinstein.
